Summer Fun

On lazy days of summer vacation
playing on the banks of the old creek
youthful energy taking us through the woods
on little legs,
running to the point in the creek that's deep enough
to swim on those hot days of gold,
took advantage of everything before us
with no after thoughts
with no fears,
for we were young
and no bullet or disease could stop us then

Know nothing is nothing
and no one changes that but
no one
Sinking deeper into the abyss
further down the ladder
the last step isn't there,
already took it
its not really there
and you saw it anyway,
Jump
down and down
two feet in the sink hole...
